This privacy policy applies to the Rokss app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices, created by Oleksii Klymenok (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
Information We Collect
When you create an account and use the Application, we collect the following information:
- Email address and password (used for authentication)
- Full name and biography
- Role (coach or sportsman) and preferred sports
- Team memberships and coaching relationships
- Training sessions, plans, and completion records
- Messages sent in coaching requests
The Application does not collect precise location data, payment information, or contacts from your device.
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely to provide the Application's features: connecting coaches with athletes, managing training plans and sessions, and tracking progress. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
The Service Provider may use your email address to send important notices about your account or the service. We do not send marketing emails.
Safety & Reporting
The Application provides in-app tools to report objectionable content or abusive users and to block other users. When you submit a report, we collect your user ID, the ID of the reported user or team, the reason you selected, and any optional details you provide. Reports are retained for moderation purposes and are not visible to the reported party.
Block relationships are stored per-account and are not disclosed to the blocked user. We review reports within 24 hours. Appropriate action may include content removal, account suspension, or account termination.
Information Visible to Other Users
If you register as a coach, your name, bio, and preferred sports are visible to all other app users on the Discover page. Sportsmen's names and emails are shared with coaches they send requests to or join teams managed by.
Third-Party Services
The Application uses the following third-party services which may receive your data as part of normal operation. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Google Play Services (Android platform services)
- Firebase Authentication and Firestore (Google) — stores your account credentials and all app data
- Expo (Expo, Inc.) — build and update infrastructure; receives device type, OS version, and app version on update checks. Privacy policy: https://expo.dev/privacy
- PostHog (PostHog, Inc.) — product analytics, used only if you enable analytics in Settings (it is off by default and optional). Receives pseudonymous usage events identified by a random user ID, plus your device type, OS version, and app version. This includes screen views, app open/close events, and — when enabled — your account role and preferred sports. It never receives your name, email, or message content. Your data is processed in the EU. Privacy policy: https://posthog.com/privacy
The Service Provider may disclose your information only in the following circumstances:
- As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process
- When necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Service Provider, users, or the public
Data Retention and Deletion
Your data is retained for as long as you maintain an account. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile screen within the Application. We delete your profile and all data you created. Coach-owned records about you (such as team memberships) may persist until the coach removes them. If the deletion is interrupted, contact us at ok.team.app@gmail.com and we will complete it within 7 days.
Children
The Application is suitable for users of all ages. We collect the same information regardless of age, as described in this policy.
Security
User data is stored in Firebase, which provides encryption in transit and at rest. Access to your data is controlled by Firestore security rules that restrict reads and writes to authorized users only.
Your Rights (EU/EEA/UK)
If you are located in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, you have the following rights under GDPR:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at ok.team.app@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Product analytics is off by default. You can enable or disable it at any time from the Notifications screen in your profile; disabling it stops all analytics collection.
California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Know — request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect about you
- Delete — request deletion of personal information we have collected from you
- Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights
We do not sell personal information. To submit a request, contact us at ok.team.app@gmail.com. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted at https://ok-team-app.web.app/privacy with an updated date. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
